Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire which destroyed a house at Strathpine this morning.
Emergency services were called to an address on Bells Pocket Road around 4.15am to find a vacant home well alight.
Police closed the intersection of Lawnton Pocket Road and Bells Pocket Road while fire fighters brought the blaze under control.
The house, which was listed for sale, was completely destroyed.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the vicinity at the time who may have seen anything suspicious to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
Investigations are continuing.

Update – Wounding, South Brisbane
Detectives investigating the stabbing and robbery of a security guard at a school in South Brisbane this morning have released the identity of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Khia Gribben, 25, was last seen at a bus stop located outside Lutwyche City shopping centre on Gympie Road just after 6am.
Police wish to speak with him in relation to the wounding incident where a male security guard was approached by another man at a school on Graham Street around 5.25am.
The 51-year-old security guard was stabbed multiple times and had property stolen. He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he underwent surgery and is currently in a stable condition.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Khia Gribben or know his whereabouts to call Triple Zero. Member of the public are advised not to approach him.

Serious assault police, Carseldine
Police have charged a man following an assault incident at Carseldine this afternoon.
At about 1.30pm, officers attended a service station on Gympie Road in relation to man allegedly causing a disturbance.
When police approached the man, it is alleged the man punched an officer in the face and punched and kicked the second officer.
After a brief struggle the man was arrested.
It is alleged whilst searching the man, police located a large machete hidden in the man’s pants.
Both officers received bruising as a result of the incident.
The 29-year-old Caboolture man is charged with two counts of serious assault police and one count each of public nuisance and possess knife in a public place.
The man will appear in the Sandgate Magistrates Court on September 14.

Update: Appeal for assistance to identify unknown man, Main Beach
UPDATE – The deceased man has since been identified.
Police have released images in their appeal for public information to help identify a man who was located deceased at Main Beach on Wednesday.
Around 8.20pm officers were called to Main Beach after a man was found unconscious at the beach.
He was declared deceased a short time later and his death is not being considered as suspicious.
Police have conducted extensive investigations but they have been unable to identify the man at this stage.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, believed to be around 60-70 years old and of a slim build.
Armed robbery, Grange
Police are investigating after a business was robbed tonight at Grange.
Initial inquires indicate around 9pm a man has entered a bottle shop on Grange Road and threatened a male staff member with a knife, demanding money.
The staff member complied and the man left the store with a sum of cash.
He is described as 170cm tall, Caucasian in appearance and a slim build.
Anyone who has further information or dashcam or CCTV vision which may assist is asked to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
Burglary, Everton Hills
Detectives are investigating after a vehicle was stolen from Everton Hills overnight.
Initial information suggests that at 10.40pm, three men were seen on the driveway of a residence on Olearia Street.
A man who lived at the house has confronted the trio and was threatened by one of the men with a knife and chased down the street.
The man returned a short time later and the three men stole a laptop, a phone and red coloured four-wheel drive that was parked in the driveway.
No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.
Investigations are continuing.

Serious traffic crash, Enoggera
A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a traffic crash at Enoggera this morning.
Preliminary investigations suggest the 23-year-old Everton Hills man was travelling southbound along Samford Road on his motorcycle when he struck a gutter and lost control around 2.15am.
The rider sustained significant head injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
